HTC launces Desire HD, Desire Z and

HTC just announced two new phones and a new service. Exciting times!  Ladies & Gents, meet the Desire HD & Desire Z.

Oh yeah, and So lets get to it!

What it is, is a service that connects your phone to your computer and the cloud inbetween. So it’s a connected service to backup, restore, control and secure your HTC device. The service allows you to remotely lock &/or wipe your device in case you lose it. You can back up your contacts, messages, data, settings & customizations & soon all your multimedia! They’re also adding on the go effects for your photo capture. Check it out over at, which should go live later this month, or early next month.

Now onto the exciting stuff!!

HTC Desire HD:

What it is, is basically a HTC Evo for the GSM world!

  • 4.3″ Capacitive Multitouch, WVGA (800×480) screen
  • HTC Sense UI, along with
  • 8MP Camera with Dual LED Flash, AF and 720p HD video recording
  • WiFi b/g/n, HSPA+
  • Dolby Mobile
  • 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor

Can’t wait to get my hands on this!!

And now the other one, the HTC Desire Z:

What it is, is basically the T-Mobile G2. This one’s for all you people who CANNOT do without a qwerty keyboard.

  • 3.7″ Capacitive Multitouch Display, WVGA (800×480) resolution.
  • 5MP AF camera, LED Flash, 720p HD video
  • 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor
  • WiFi b/g/n, HSPA+
  • “Pop Out” 4 row qwerty keyboard, with user customizable shortcuts.
  • HTC Sense UI with integration.

Both these phones run Android 2.2 (FroYo) and should be available in Europe in Octover and in Asia soon after…. No word on pricing, yet…

Again, more awesomeness… Which one would you pick? Let us know!
