It’s official – The Nokia PureView 808 to Launch in India in May

For those of you who’ve been waiting eagerly to get your hands on the Nokia PureView 808, here’s some good news for you. The phone’s going to hit the retail shelves here in India this month. According to a blog post at Nokia Conversations, the Nokia 808 is going to intially roll out in India and Russia first, and additional countries will see the roll outs later. There’s no news yet on what the cost of the 808 is going to be when it rolls out in India.

  • OS: Nokia Belle
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, USB OTG

  • Imaging: 41MP Nokia Pureview Pro imaging technology and Carl Zeiss optics,  Xenon Flash, Full HD Video Capture
Here’s some sample pictures I managed to take on a prototype 808 when I got my hands on the device during MWC, with samples taken both during daytime and night. Even on the prototype device, the night photos taken on the camera really shows the capability of the device.
