Nokia announces an entry-level Windows Phone – the Lumia 510

Nokia today announced a new phone in their Lumia range. The Nokia Lumia 510 is an entry-level phone which will hit the shelves in India around the first week of November. Nokia India in their press-release stated that the Lumia 510 is Nokia’s Diwali gift to India making owning a Windows Phone even more affordable. This certainly means that the 510 is going to be a sub Rs.11,000 windows phone.

The Nokia Lumia 510 runs Windows 7.5, powered by a 800Mhz Qualcomm processor, and sports a 4 inch WVGA (800×480) capacitive touch screen. The phone has 256MB RAM onboard and 4GB mass storage for your photos, videos and data. As with the other Lumia 7.5 devices, the 510’s storage is not expandable. The camera on the phone is a 5 Megapixel unit, and has a 1300 mAh battery.  The Nokia Lumia 510 will be available in vibrant colours, such as red, white and black.

The Lumia 510 also has access to Nokia’s Location based apps –  Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Transport. On the music front, Nokia Lumia 510 comes with a 3 month unlimited Nokia Music subscription and MixRadio.
