Nokia Music Store goes live in India Today
Nokia just launched their music store in India earlier today. Nokia Music Store launched with over 3 million tracks for you to browse through and purchase. They have tied up with major music labels like Universal Music Group, Sony Music, EMI and Warner and major independent Indian record labels including Tseries, Yashraj Music, Saregama, BIG Music, Venus to get you both International and Indian music.
Some of the highlights of the Nokia Music Store are:
- Access the store directly from your mobile phone’s browser
- Preview the music with a 30 second clip of any track in the store
- Create a wishlist of songs you’d like to download in the future
- Download the music directly into your mobile device or through your desktop
The devices which are compatible with Nokia Music store are all XpressMusic phones – 5800, 5130, 5310 and 5530 and some N and E series devices like the N97, N86, E71 and E63. The store comes as a default client with all these compatible handsets. Just search for the Music icon in your phone to start accessing the Nokia Music Store.
During the initial launch users will be able to download music from the service using inbox vouchers included in all XpressMusic handsets and select Nseries devices and Eseries phones. We hope they bring in other means of paying for music download pretty soon.
Nokia Music Store can be accessed from your mobile and desktop at http://www.music.nokia.co.in/. If you’re trying to access the site from your desktop, you’ll have to use Internet Explorer, since this service is not accessible from other browsers currently.
