Nokia Replies: Symbian to Stay

SymbianA few days ago, members of the Maemo Team had suggested that Nokia would be dropping Symbian on the N Series, and would go ahead with the Maemo platform.

On the 20th,  the Nokia blog contacted some Nokia representatives. The Nokia representatives  stated that the words of the Maemo marketing team are “premature”. When it comes to choosing an OS, Nokia deems Symbian as more suitable for mainstream smartphones, while Maemo will be used only on powerful high-end productivity devices.
