Samsung Galaxy S wins hands down over HTC Desire in Quake 2 GPU Test

Both Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire come with a lighting fast 1GHz processor, but does that mean equal performance? Here’s a quick comparision of their processors/gpu:

  • Samsung Galaxy S: S5PC110 with PowerVR SGX540 = 90 million triangles/sec
  • HTC Desire Snapdragon Processor QSD8250 = 22 million triangles / sec

This clearly shows that the Samsung Galaxy S would be better at a Gaming experience than that HTC Desire. Here is a video which displays a side by side evaluation of performance of the  2 devices in Quake 2 game.

We’ve got more on the Samsung Galaxy S coming up with Raghu reviewing the device. So stay tuned to us here, on Twitter and on Facebook.
