Symbian Belle: The Evolution Explained

Say what you will about Symbian and Nokia, the videos they come up with explaining each change are usually brilliant. And this one is no exception. In case you did not know, Symbian Belle was announced a while back, and it’s a proper evolution over Symbian Anna. Nokia even took us to the beaches of Goa to show off the NFC integration in Belle (you should read more about that here). While it isn’t Mobile Wallet usage just yet, the use of NFC to share content is brilliant (especially considering the fact that Mobile Wallet is a ways away from being truly global) and easy. Check that out, here.

But what’s really different in Belle is the UI itself. A drop-down notification bar, with toggle controls for commonly used data connections, widgets and more. Yup, belle is good. And Nokia Conversations has a video on how it came up. Check it out below.

Oh, and if you’re on Symbian Anna, you should be getting Belle sometime in the near future. (Not this month as was planned though.. Bad Bad Nokia) (Via: GSMARENA)
