Meego UI for Handsets unveiled!

Intel & Nokia have officially unveiled Meego for mobile, and it looks really good.

The current release, which is actually available here, is still pre-alpha, and comes with it’s share of bugs. The Meego team says that this is a release targeted at developers and is not meant for the end user, but if you’re brave enough/have a few N900’s lying around, go ahead and check it out. Introducing MeeGo!

Big news at the MWC:2010 today, Nokia and Intel teamed up and merged their platforms Maemo and Moblin to form MeeGomeego

MeeGo is an open source project and is  hosted by the Linux Foundation which encourages community contributions.

Project releases for MeeGo version 1 are expected in the second quarter of 2010.
