This was a question asked by the social media folks at Nokia on Twitter. They had received an overwhelming response on their followers, and Nokia has shared this infographic based on the responses they got.
If you look at the details above, 25% of the respondents mentioned that they moved to the Lumia range just because of Brand Nokia, and their love and Trust of the brand. The second, third and fourth reasons are almost neck to neck with Design, Software and the want to try out a new Smart phone. US tops the respondents list and India comes in a close second, followed by the UK. The app exclusivity that the Nokia’s Windows Phone range has in terms of Nokia Music and the likes doesn’t seem to be a strong reason for the shift to Lumia.
I also see quite a few folks going in for the Lumia range of phone these days, especially after the lower-end Lumia 610 launched here. I was quite taken aback when the guy who serves “Chai” at office came up to me with doubts about his spanking new Lumia phone, and how to download music. He went away happy when I showed him Nokia Music and Mix Radio service where he could get music downloads.
Here’s why a Blackberry user shifted to the Lumia 900.
