Xperia X10 gets updated. Finally!!

So the long awaited update for the Xperia X10 is here! Unfortunately, it still doesn’t get Froyo. Or multitouch. But in case you missed the sneak peek into what it brings, check out this post. You’ll have to head to http://www.sonyericsson.com/update, as the update isn’t OTA.

There, you’ll be prompted to download the PC Companion, if you don’t have it installed already.

The file is a 25 MB installation file. Once it’s installed, connect your phone, mount the SD card, and click on the Support Zone tab on the PC Companion.

In case you want to know what the update brings, check these images out (PS: Go to settings-> About Phone -> Software Update, and you’ll get the following prompts).

Follow instructions and MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR DATA using the Backup and Restore App on the phone!

More details to follow once the update is done!
